Carol Jean Frier, 76, of Sheboygan Falls, passed away Saturday, October 6, 2012, at Sheboygan Progressive Care Center.
Carol was born May 19, 1936 in Plymouth, WI to Chauncey and Mathilda (Roltgen) Murphy. She graduated from Sheboygan Falls High School in 1954. While on spring break in Florida, Carol met the love of her life, Hilry ?Pee Wee? Frier, Sr. They later married on November 10, 1956 in Florida. Pee Wee passed away August 4, 1991. Carol worked for Bemis Manufacturing for over 25 years, retiring in 2001.
Carol was a member of St. Rose and St. George Parishes until they closed. Together with Pee Wee, they were members of the 5 corners motorcycle and snowmobile clubs. Carol loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She took pleasure in cooking and had that special touch in making lasagna, pork chops, homemade applesauce and beef soup. Carol enjoyed spending time with her high school friends.
Carol is survived by two daughters, Debbie (Mike) O?Grady of Sheboygan Falls and Judy Frier of Sheboygan; four sons, Vern (Faye) Frier of Oostburg, Glenn (Sue) Frier of Oostburg, Mickey (Julie) Frier, Sr. of Sheboygan Falls, Bill (Debbie) Frier of Gibbsville; 15 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
Carol was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Pee Wee; one sister, Nancy Murphy.
Funeral services to celebrate Carol?s life will be at 4:00 pm on Wednesday, October 10, 2012 at the Wenig Funeral Home in Sheboygan Falls with Rev. Bob Lotz officiating. Inurnment will be in St. Rose Cemetery at a later date.
Relatives and friends may greet Carol?s family from 1:00 pm until the time of the service Wednesday at the funeral home.
A memorial fund has been established in Carol?s name.
Carol?s family would like to give special thanks to Hometown Retirement of Sheboygan, Sheboygan Progressive Care Center, and St. Nicholas Home Health and Hospice, for their wonderful care and compassion.
