Indian Capital Technology Center, an SLW?s community partner, visited our Sallisaw plant to get a lesson in safety, crane safety to be exact. The 55 welding and carpentry students visited SLW Automotive on Friday, October 5, as a follow-up to their ?Crane Safety? course.? SLW employees Dwayne Vernon and Justin Miller arranged the students? participation in crane operation and safety.? ICTC instructor Lee Dorsey noted that hands-on learning is instrumental for these students and expressed his appreciation to SLW for allowing his students to visit.? We plan to invite them again next year and hope this becomes an annual tradition in SLW?s community involvement.
